Turriff Golf Course is a
well-established parkland course with wonderful views. Founded in
1896 and extended to 18 holes in 1976, its lush, green fairways
have been sympathetically laid out on the southern banks of the
River Deveron.
Country Steading Holidays provides
an easy access to many wonderful golf courses; Huntly, Banff,
Macduff, Oldmeldrum and Ellon to name but a few, a real golfers
paradise. |

Faraway RCC
- Faraway Riding
and Recreation Centre offers a unique blend of equestrian
activities and is little over a mile from Country Steading
Holidays.
They have a fully
appointed indoor arena (60m X 27m) with Softrack surface and
heated viewing and dining areas overlooking. Out of doors, there
is an 87m by approx.40m (fenced) all weather Softrack arena. The
main grass arena is 80m X 80m (fenced) although ample space exists
to create additional arenas if the need arises. |

Deveron Fishing -
The Deveron River, Can
be fished at various key points along its meandering length, the
Bridge of Marnoch is the closest to Country Steading Holidays,
however beats are also available in nearby towns of Huntly and
Turriff. The Deveron offers the angler some of the finest salmon
and trout fishing in Scotland.
Aberdeenshire
also supports two other fine rivers the Dee and the Don and sea
fishing can be obtained on the Moray Coast.
Another well known river within easy reach from the cottages is
the river Spey, also in the close by County of Moray. |

The Lecht Ski
Centre - The Lecht Ski centre is just over an hours drive from
the cottages and offers a variety of activities both in Winter and
Summer. Skiing, Snowboarding and Tubbing in the winter are among
some of the activities and in the Summer there are Quad bikes,
Deval Karts, Fun Karts and Chairlift rides on Ben Avon and more.
Aviemore in the
Cairngorm National park and The Glenshee Ski Centre are also
within reasonable distance and not only offer skiing, hill walking
and mountain climbing but spectacular views of the Cairngorm
mountains.

Lochpark
Adventure Centre - Loch Park Adventure Centre near Keith,
specialises in water-based activity programmes all on one site.
They offer opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy
adventure safely. Their wet and wild activities include canoeing,
kayaking and gorge-walking. Our dry but daring activities include
archery, ropes and projects.
Their staff, who hold national governing body certificates, are
experienced in working with people with a disability, and have
been commended by national organisations on their ability to give
people an introduction to adventure.
