"On arrival at East
Craighill, Mouse was shown to his stable under the scrutiny of
Julia's ponies , and in no time at all had settled in with the
others. While the ponies got to know each other , I retreated to my
accomodation- a cottage conversion in close proximity to the ponies
.
The cosy living kitchen area leads into the double bedroom -
complete with four poster . Additional sleeping accomodation is
available inthe gallery overlooking the sitting area , and is
accessed by a Ramsay ladder - ideal for the younger members of the
family.
Meals cooked in the fully appointed kitchen were eaten in the
conservatory area overlooking the back of the cottage - within sight
of the ponies , and in close proximity to the wooded area which
leads to the two small lochs at the bottom of the valley - ideal for
an early morning walk , or for a quiet hack in complete seclusion.
There is ample offroad hacking , and if you prefer, an enclosed sand
school adjoining the paddock is available to use .
Within easy reach of Turriff and Huntly , this quiet retreat is an
ideal base to explore rural Aberdeenshire."
